Thomas J. Connelly, president and chief investment officer of Versant Capital Management, Inc. He has been creating personal financial solutions for investors for over 25 years, and was selected by Worth magazine as one of the top financial advisors in the United States in 1994, 1996, 1997, 2003-2008. Tom was nominated by his peers for the Citywealth Top 100 Wealth Advisers and Managers list for North America in 2006.
Tom holds the professional designations of Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP©) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and has masters degrees in business administration and financial planning.
He served on the board of the Phoenix Society of Financial Analysts and has twice served as president of the Phoenix chapter of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners.
Tom sat on the editorial advisory board of the Journal of Financial Planning from 1994 through 2000, and served as contributing editor from 1996 through 1999. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Financial Planning Association, and an Institute for Quantitative Research in Finance delegate.
Tom served on the Financial Advisor Advisory Boards for TIAA-CREF from 2000 through 2003 and for Rydex Funds from 2001-2002. Tom also served on the boards of National Advisors Holdings and Comprehensive Wealth Management, LLC. In 2007 Tom was confirmed by the Arizona Senate to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). In 2009, Tom was appointed vice chair of the board, and chair of the Investment Committee.
